Dream House on Paper

That Dream House.
One of my Aunts many times said to me, "Aim for the sky, if you fall, you'll fall on the roof not on the ground". And yes we are.

So glad I found this print out. My husband and I collaborated with the design of this house when we were still in Melbourne. The hard drive it was stored on got corrupted, rendered unusable.

This house is supposed to fit a 120 sqm lot we purchased in Dasmarinas, Cavite. I love its look. We might refine this by adding my garden where it will have complete morning and afternoon sun.

3 years ago, my husband wouldn't agree on putting 17th century stylings for the interior. Now he is warming up to the idea. We vowed to marry our era preferences in our own house.  His being modern contemporary, mine being laid-back Victorian, shabby chic.

Thoughful Landscaping

When I was taking up Basic Photography class (just so I would know how to operate my Dad's DSLR), one of our final projects was to take a Human Activity Photo and Landscape Photo.

My husband took me to Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig. We  first headed to Burgos Circle.

Burgos Circle
So there we were, parked in front of Starbucks. Headed to this Round-about to take photo of that building. Standing in the middle of the round-about, I noticed that, I can place my tripod and point it to that building. I'm not sure if the Landscaping was deliberately planned to direct my eyes towards that commercial place. Yet it did.

Next stop was High Street Mall. I noticed that the newly landscaped ground of this mall have trees that points toward that middle orange building over there. See? The buildings aligned in one vanishing point. In photography class we were taught to find a vanishing point to establish a focal point.

I'm not sure if it was deliberately planned to direct our eyes in that direction. It was well planned. I just wish when designers and community planners design, they incorporate the existing surroundings. Not grandstanding to the point it's disturbing.

Country Style Kitchen Design Peg

I was looking for inspirations for a project and I came across this one. I know where I can get those Ladder Back chairs!!! Happy me!

The blue grey service/dining table and white wall gives it a clean appeal. Whilst the red accent pieces and yellow dining chairs make a cheerful inviting kitchen.

You know how some people want to make their house look like that of a hotel room interior? Well, I've been to  hotel rooms and I feel brown hues are depressing and also, fattening. Imagine, with brown, white, and cream shade. Makes you want to eat junk on your bed and then sleep, right?!

A design like this feels homey and light. There are no big cabinets at the top of the kitchen counter. Just displays of glass wine and recipe books.

Clients have often geared away from Country Style as it often translate to them as old and rustic. I think this peg is updated with a modern appeal.  Hopefully my client will agree :)

Amici Residence

This is an Interior Design Project.
The client is a 2nd timer to our company services. We had done her Condo unit in Makati. She wanted the work to be in phases, so we provided design proposals for different areas of the house.
We built her Kitchen first.

Location: Molino, Bacoor, Cavite

A Renovation Project

This is a Design-Build Project. The client wants a New York apartment type interior. The living area used to be dark and gloomy. The owner preferred to switch the places of the bedroom and living room. Which was a good choice, as the new location of the living room is exposed to the condo building hallway area and the sunny side of the building.

People dream of having their houses updated. Usually their plans get hold off because of budget contraints.  As you can see, the cost in tearing down and building new walls have been included in the Php 100,000 budget. The client will have the freedom to add her own touch, buy her furnitures and accentuate her space.

Location: Sikatuna Bliss, Quezon City
Budget: Php 100,000
Scope: Wall Demolition and Clearing of the 3 bedrooms.
2 Bedroom
1 Walk-In Closet
Vinyl flooring on all rooms.
Customised closet for the bedrooms.
Year: 2007

Full length mirror near the main door. Would be nice to check yourself out before leaving your house, right?

Kitchen/Dining Area. Mini Island bar to divide the living area and dining.

We wanted the room to absorb some light coming from the living area. Ergo, the use of frosted glass.

Checkered Floors add character to a very small space.
Call me if you want your space to get updated. We can work on your budget, come up with something awesome!

Moseleum, Cavite

Yes. We also do design services for the departed :)

Azotea de Bel Air, Makati

Studio Unit and Loft

We had just finished a studio unit in a condominium building. The owner of the building saw our work and liked what we had done. He then commisioned us to design 2 of his upper units. He hired an in-house engineer to execute our design.

We witnessed the construction progress but was unable to get actual photos as we were about to leave for Australia back then.

Let me just show you the approved design concept.
